Hollywood Costume: Victoria and Albert museum

Over my Christmas holidays I began to drive myself made with not being able to do any work, when my one friend suggested we go back to London for the day and go and see the Hollywood exhibition as I have a real passion for movies and costumes and this seemed the perfect exhibition to go and see.
The exhibition itself included over 100 of the most iconic and unforgettable film characters from a century of Hollywood filmmaking (1912-2012). These iconic cinema costumes have never left the private and archival collections in California. Most of these clothes have never been publicly displayed and have never been seem beyond the secure walls of the studio archives.
There was a wide range of costumes from Charlie Chaplin to the cutting edge design of Avatar. It also include costumes from Fight Club, Indian Johns Raiders of the Lost Ark, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Shakespeare In Love, Titanic, Sugar Kane Kowalczyk, Some like it Hot (both Marilyn Monroe) Breakfast at Tiffany’s (classic Audrey Hepburn) Chicago, Atonement, harry potter, spider man, Pirates of the Caribbean and wizard of Oz including the classic red slippers.
The exhibition includes 2 case studies with the participation on camera of the great American actors Robert De Niro and Meryl Steep with 5 costumes chosen from their most memorable roles.

Overall it was an enjoyable exhibitions and one I would highly recommend to all those film and costume lovers out there simply divine.
