Saatchi Gallery:The little black jacket

 

Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel and their little black jacket has been a renowned piece of fashion history. For him to dress the rich and famous, artist, models and other designers and display them all so elegantly wearing this iconic piece was something special.

The classic jacket was shown in all of its glory with simple black and white images with all the focus going on the jacket itself. Even with all the models bringing a different edge and look to the jacket, the jacket still remained the main focus and not the models themselves which I admired.

I really enjoyed this exhibition and loved seeing how the jacket could be worn in so many ways, it showed off this beautiful piece of design as being timeless and a statement piece to an outfit.

Id really recommend this exhibition and the free poster at the end means I can have a piece of the little black jacket seems I cant afford the real thing.
